Originally from Pine Bluff, Arkansas, Fredye moved to Bowie County, Texas in 1993. The summer of 2020 marked her 44th anniversary as a practicing trial attorney. She previously lived and worked in Dallas, St. Louis and rural Southwestern Arkansas.

Fredye has been married to Judge Edwin Alford since 2001. She is the mother of two sons - Rodgers and Brandon Eckhart. She travels extensively and is working on her Life Master playing tournament duplicate bridge. She still rides horses and raises longhorn cattle

She has over fourteen years’ experience in her field. The primary focus of her work has been in probate and family law litigation. However, she has assisted in personal injury, appeals and other types of cases in both state and federal courts in both Arkansas and Texas.
